Educational Workshops

Educational Workshops

We design our Educational Workshops so that Clarksdale's history does not sit silent in a glass case. In these Mississippi educational workshops, youth and adults handle primary sources, listen to local voices, and connect personal family stories to Mississippi Delta culture and history workshops rooted in this land. Our museum youth education programs residents rely on weave together interactive history and arts classes Coahoma County teachers can trust, from blues music and civil rights workshops students remember for years, to folk art, storytelling, and agricultural history sessions that make textbooks come alive.

Every workshop is grounded in the multicultural reality of the Mississippi Delta - Native American roots, enslaved Africans and their descendants, European settlers, and today's diverse neighborhoods - so participants leave with knowledge, pride, and a sense that they, too, are part of the ongoing story.
